Introduction

North Fife Handyman (Euan Brander) takes your data protection seriously and will only collect and use data for the explicit purposes of our working relationship. Your information will not be passed on, sold, or distributed for gain. 

Legal Basis

As part of my business, I need to process data and undertake to gather and process this data on the lawful basis of having consent and a legitimate interest in such data, as provided for under Article 6 of the GDPR. Such data shall be held securely with appropriate safeguards.

What information is held and why?

Examples of the type of data gathered:

-Name

-Contact details of owner or occupier

-Before and after photos of work completed

-Portfolio of completed work

Occasionally I will use these images for promotional purposes on my website, but will obtain consent before use. This consent can be withdrawn at any time.

Processing is in relation to those clients who have sought or are seeking services through my business. Personal data shall not be disclosed to others without the consent of the data subjects (i.e. those to whom the data belongs).

How do we use Personal information?

Personal information is used to contact customers, provide invoices, and other legitimate business uses. This information is not shared outside of the business.

How long will we keep this information & your rights concerning it?

Data will only be kept for as long as is reasonable for the provision of the required services. It may be archived as part of historical record of clients for the purpose of complying with statutory obligations to share information with Her Majesty’s Revenue & Customs.

Data security

Your data is stored securely electronically and is password protected. If it is held in a physical format, it is held securely.

You have the right to request what personal data is held about you and to change and update those details. You can also withdraw consent to hold your data at any time and I will take action to delete/destroy it, save where there is an overriding legal obligation for me to share such information with a statutory body.
